Is a red flag that reveals a value in status quo and outdated practices over progress and innovation. These people and groups do not want to move forward, make changes, experience growth, or find the best ways. They feel afraid of change, and cling to the idea of stability. They feel lost in their own selfish desires, spinning on their own hamster wheels, unable to progress or change, or keep up with modern day social movements and other progressive practices as new information and studies arise. They feel fine “staying out” of things they actually have responsibility in and accountability to be a part of. They’d rather things just wash over them and pass them by then have to get their hands dirty. They prefer to leave behind self-reflection and questioning and just continue on the way they’ve always done things. They only want to deal with the same problems that they’ve been dealing with for years, not new ones. These people are typically greedy and fearful of others using them for money, or knowing how much money they have. Even when they may appear generous, they are likely able to give much more than they actually do.
