If the bridge is shitty or the other side isn’t helping you build it, then walking away and letting it decay or fall apart isn’t your blame. If they were trying though to build it with you then the reason would have to be you didn’t like the way it was being built or where it lead or the maintenance it required or maybe it was covered in thorns or was a trap or they crossed the bridge to steal form you— metaphorically.
